Zum ersten mal des Jahres, meines Wissens, seit ihr in der Lage einen gamescom Award zu vergeben. In der gamescom App habt ihr die Möglichkeit verschiedenen Publishern oder Games eine Stimme anzugeben, wo der Gewinner am Samstag feststehen. Was alles zur Auswahl ist, wollen wir euch einmal präsentieren, aber natürlich könnt ihr nicht nur einen Award vergeben, sondern auch die Jury.

Den „Best of gamescom award" kann nur ein Spiel oder Produkt gewinnen, das auch eine Kategorie aus den Kategoriegruppen Genre oder Plattform gewonnen hat; Gewinner aus den Kategoriegruppen consumer awards, gamescom global awards, gamescom Indie award oder Best of CAMPUS sowie Spiele-Erweiterungen können ihn nicht gewinnen.
