FRANKFURT: MORIKI.

Being back in Frankfurt just a bit over a month now, I realized that I somehow never introduce you to fun and cool places in the city. Personally, I think Frankfurt is an amazing place and I loved growing up here. However, to me the German banker center doesn’t take full advantage of its possibilities and there are not too many places that blow my mind. It seems like a cool place never sticks around long enough to get noticed. The food you can get is great, yet there is not much of a choice. Let’s talk Eggs Benedict – haven’t seen a place yet here where I can order them… But even in all the unspectacular, one can find something that shines bright like a diamond. To me, the sushi lover, Moriki is such a place. Interior? To the point. Service? Hands up. Food? OMG – it’s so good. Moriki is rather expensive. But keep in mind that most sushi places are not cheap if they offer great quality and extensive choice. If you still want to try it without spending too much, take advantage of their lunch offer. Ich bin jetzt schon etwas mehr als einen Monat wieder zurück in Frankfurt. Letztens habe ich festgestellt, dass ich bisher noch nie von coolen Locations aus der Stadt berichtet habe. Ich persönlich finde, dass Frankfurt ein wundervoller Ort ist und es war toll hier aufzuwachsen. Allerdings habe ich das Gefühl, dass die City nicht alle Möglichkeiten, die sie bietet, nutzt und es gibt nicht wirklich viele Orte, die ausgefallen oder besonders sind. Es fühlt sich an als könnte sich kein cooles, neues Lokal lange genug halten, um überhaupt bemerkt zu werden. Die Restaurants und Cafés sind super, allerdings ist die Auswahl eher gering. Ich bin ein bekennender Eggs Benedict-Fan und ich habe sie hier noch nie auf einer Karte erspäht… Aber den ein oder anderen Diamanten findet man immer unter all den Steinen. Für mich, den Sushi-Liebhaber, ist das Moriki solch ein Diamant. Interior? Großstadt-Coolness. Service? Super. Food? OMG – es ist sooo gut! Moriki gehört, wie die meisten Sushi-Restaurants, in die teurere Kategorie. Jedoch sind Qualität und eine ausgiebige Auswahl nicht unbedingt billig zu kriegen. Falls ihr das Moriki testen möchtet, jedoch nicht bereit seid zu tief in die Tasche zu greifen, probiert den Mittagstisch. Guten Appetit, ♥
