Wie gestern bereits angekündigt, gibt es heute die passende Maniküre zur Halloween Nail Art Challenge (#halloweennac2014) zum Thema ‘Kürbisse’ von gestern auf der aktuellen Lacke in Farbe… und bunt!-Farbe ‘Orange’ von Lena von Lenas Sofa.
Flashy Pumpkin (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish). Farbe & Finish: Intensives, eher dunkles und reichlich rotlastiges Orange mit Creme-Finish. Auftrag: Gut. Der Lack ist gut pigmentiert und damit zunächst etwas pastig. Nach Zugabe einiger Tropfen Nagellackverdünner war dieses Problem behoben, die Farbe in zwei Schichten deckend und zügig getrocknet. Preis/Leistung: Sehr gut. Von Februar 2013 bis August diesen Jahres war die auffällige, eher sommerliche Farbe im Colour & Go Nail Polish-Standardsortiment vertreten. Die 8 ml schlugen mit 1,55 Euro zu Buche.
Auf zwei Schichten Flashy Pumpkin habe ich zunächst Striping Tape platziert und Love Is In the Air (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) so dünn aufgepinselt, dass die Grundfarbe durchscheint. Diesen Effekt habe ich mit einem festen Pinsel und etwas Nagellackentferner noch verstärkt und so eine Art Distressed-Effekt geschaffen. Anschließend habe ich mit einem feinen Pinsel, Beijos De Brazil (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) und L.O.L (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) die Blätter aufgezeichnet und alles mit einer Schicht Matte (L’ORÉAL) mattiert. Ursprünglich wollte ich noch gruselige Gesichter aufpinseln, doch mir gefällt das Design so schon sehr gut.
As already written yesterday, today I have a classic pumpkin design for you which goes well in line with the Halloween Nail Art Challenge (#halloweennac2014) themed ‘pumpkin’ from yesterday and today’s colour ‘orange’ for Lacke in Farbe… und bunt! hosted by Lena from Lenas Sofa. I have chosen Flashy Pumpkin (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish), of course for the name’s sake but also because it is a really vivid, quite dark and red-tinted orange with creme finish. Application is easy, although the texture is highly pigmented and I had to add a few drops of nail polish thinner first. On top of two coats, I placed striping tape and brushed on Love Is In the Air (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) in a very thin layer to create some kind of streaky structure. I also used a firm brush and some nail polish remover to enhance this effect. Afterwards, I used a fine brush, Beijos De Brazil (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) and L.O.L (ESSENCE, Colour & Go Nail Polish) to paint on the leaves and sealed the design with one coat of Matte (L’ORÉAL) at the end.
