Your Crew:Your new crew consists of 10 people. They are working on a yet-to-be-announced AAA title for smartphones and tablets and they are burning for you to join their ranks and contribute to the project's vision and success.
Mission Briefing:The Creation of compelling and dynamic levels and game mechanics will be your main task. That includes conceptualizing and prototyping of environments using white-box/blockout geometry. You will dress levels by placing art assets and suggest creative ideas to beautify game environments. You create visually appealing levels and therefore work closely with the environment art team and help them improve and test 3D tile-sets for buildings and other level geometry. You own and actively drive the gameplay execution.
Skillset:- At least 3 years of hands on experience as Level Designer in the games industry
Great sense for what makes a game or level fun to play and the ability to articulate that to others - Good understanding of the game development process
- Very good level of English (both written and spoken)
- High capacity for teamwork and excellent communication skills
- A self-contained way of working and a high level of self-motivation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A good understanding of artistic principles that can guide the player and enhance readability of your levels
- Extensive experience with Unity and knowledge of 3D modeling tools is a plus
- Experience in scripting or the ability to program complex interactions
- This position is project-related and therefore open for freelancers or as a limited contract for approx. 6 months.
