Der Special Preis in Venedig ging dieses Jahr an den polnischen Direktor Jerzy Skolimowksi und sein Drama 'Essential Killing'. Der Film hat auch den Preis für den besten Schauspieler gewonnen, der an Vincent Gallo geht. Der war allerdings nicht bei der Verleihung anwesend.
Den Preis für die beste Schauspielerin hat Ariane Labed für 'Attenberg' gewonnen.
Der Marcello Mastorianni Preis für junge Schauspieler ist an Mila Kunis vergeben worden. Erhalten hat sie den Preis für ihre Rolle in 'Black Swan'.
