At the last time it was a bit quiet on the blog. Because of the grey weather I fell into a winter sleep but now it's enough already. The next few days I have some new posts for you and today I'll start with a simple low budget copper diy ipad holder. I use the Ipad often during cooking but where to place the Ipad while cooking? So the idea came at the right time and besides the holder is made of copper, one of my current favorite colors for home details.
The Ipad holder fits perfect with the Ipad mini but it should fit too with every other Ipad size and it is also great for cookbooks. The copper pipes I ordered via internet because I found a shop where I have only to pay for what I really need ( The shop delivers sadly only to Germany). Alternative you can also buy the pipes at the home improvement store and cut them with a tubing cutter at home. The connecting pieces I bought via ebay because at the home improvement store I only found big packs.
Measurements:
width 13 cm - 1x
hight 11 cm - 2x
base 5 cm - 2x
90° sheet - 2x
t-piece - 2x
90° angle - 2x
Step 1: Use the 90° sheets for connecting the 13 cm piece with the 11 cm pieces.
If you like you can glue the pieces but normally you don't need to glue it. I've used copper pipes with 15 mm diameter. Actually I would like to slip onto every end a cap but the 15 mm cap was to small and the 18 mm cap was a bit to big so I decided to let them open.
