Patriotism and vintage fashion collide in the Converse All Star 50475. Converse has decided to dust off their classic 1940s Chuck Taylor which adorned the feet of America’s bravest heroes as they made their way through basic training and prepared to fight for freedom in WWII.

I had no idea that Converse participated in the war effort, but I am glad they did. Apart from giving our boys some solid shoes, they also gave future generations a kickass pair of vintage Chuck Taylors. The Converse All Star 50475 comes in an all-black canvas colorway with a brown toebox and sole. The shoe features the “50475″ stamped on the inside paying homage to Converse’s government contract number during the war. The Converse All Star 50475 is limited to 200 pairs and is on-sale now.
