The “Visual Music Award 2012″ is a creative competition for works on music visualizations from the fields of new media art, experimental film or animation.
The submission deadline is the 06th of August 2012.
As contributions to the “Visual Music Award 2012″ and the “Visual Music Live Contest”, interpretations of music by visionary artistic visualisations can be submitted. The holistic media compositions should come close to “paintings in time”, “visual music”, “symphonies of light and sound”, “cinematic paintings”, “color light music” or “space light art”.
Up to 10 of the best submitted “visual music” and up to three of the best “live & interactive” works will be honoured including the first prizes and one optional special prize.
The prize winners and awardees will receive a certificate and also prizes by the sponsors as well as a unique presentation of their works at the evening of the prize ceremony in November 2012 at the CocoonClub Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Der “Visual Music Award 2012″ ist ein Nachwuchs-Kreativ-Wettbewerb für Arbeiten zur Visualisierung von Musik aus den Bereichen Neue Medien Kunst, Experimentalfilm oder Animation. Der Einsendeschluss ist der >06. August 2012.
Als Beiträge zum “Visual Music Award 2012″ und zum “Visual Music Live Contest” sind Interpretationen von Musik durch künstlerische Visualisierungen gefragt, deren mediale Gesamtkompositionen einer “Malerei mit Zeit”, einer “Augenmusik”, einer “Farblichtmusik” oder “Raumlichtkunst” nahe kommen.
Ausgezeichnet werden bis zu 10 der besten eingereichten “Visual Music” Arbeiten und bis zu drei der besten “live & interactive” Arbeiten inklusive der Preisträger und eines optionalen Gewinners eines Sonderpreises.
Die Gewinner und Ausgezeichneten erwarten Sachpreise der Sponsoren, sowie als Highlight die Preisverleihung am 23. November 2012 im CocoonClub in Frankfurt am Main mit einer einzigartigen Präsentation ihrer Werke.
Der “Visual Music Award 2012″ wird vom INM Institut für neuer Medien, Frankfurt am Main ausgelobt.
