NIKE feiert wiederholt den “Black History Month” mit einer tollen Kollektion – bestehend aus Turnschuhen, Shirts und anderen Accessoires – und ehrt auf diesem Wege charismatische Sportler, die insbesondere durch ihren Mut und ihre Entschlossenheit positiv in der Sportwelt in Erscheinung getreten sind.
Zu diesen Sportlern zählt Nike: Theotis Beasley (Skateboarding), Kevin-Prince Boateng (Fußball), Jerry Rice (American Football), Brianna Rollins (Leichtathletik), C. Vivian Stringer (Basketball-Trainerin) und John Thompson (Basketball-Trainer).

Ein Teil der Verkaufserlöse der “Black History Month 2015″-Kollektion spendet Nike wieder an den “Ever Higher Fund”, welcher sich für die bestmögliche Sportunterstützung unterprivilegierter Jugendliche einsetzt. Die Aufgabe des Fonds ist es Wissen und Ressourcen zu bündeln und so die nächsten Generationen optimal auszubilden und vorzubereiten. Der “Ever Higher Fund” wurde 2014 gegründet und wird von der Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAF America) verwaltet.
