Lang, lang ists her seit meinem letzen Post, aber in letzter Zeit hab ich nicht viel angestellt, nähtechnisch, daher ist es hier etwas still geworden. Ich habe soviele Ideen im Kopf, aber die Umsetzung, an der muss ich noch arbeiten, auf meiner Liste stehen Röcke, Kleider, Oberteile und natürlich auch neue Taschen. Der Stoffmarkt war ja schon längst in Frankfurt und nächste Woche ist er schon wieder hier, also am Stoffmangel liegst nicht, dass ich nichts hinkriege, aber meine Streichelstöffchen liegen hier und ich zaudere, sie anzuschneiden. Ich habe zwei schöne Leinenstoffe aus denen ich das Kleid, das man oben im Bild sieht, nachnähen möchte. Das Problem? Meine Figur. Ich bin seit knapp einem Jahr am Abnehmen, angefangen habe ich bei Größe 60, momentan bin ich bei 46-48 und mein Ziel ist Größe 42, davor möchte ich eigentlich keine neuen Kleidungsstücke nähen, da ich sonst alles umändern und verschenken müsste :-(Gut, mit diesem Kleid, Burda 7547, oben hat es jedenfalls geklappt, das Umändern, meine ich. Das Kleid entstand vor knapp einem Jahr, Größe 60. Es ist ein so schönes Kleid und der Stoff gefällt mir so gut, dabei war es ein Schnäppchen auf dem Stoffmarkt, es wäre einfach zu schade gewesen, es nie tragen zu lönnen. Also habe ich mich vor kurzem drangemacht, es kleiner zu nähen. Seiten verkleinern hört sich einfacher an, als es ist. Eine ganz, ganz lange Naht musste ich leider wieder auftrennen, da sie nicht saß. Trotzdem, ich habe nicht aufgegeben und so ist jetzt ein altes, neues KLeid ans Tageslicht getreten. Und wenn man dann noch: Hey schöne, große Frau", hintergerufen bekommt, ist doch alles in Butter. The fabric market has come and gone and next week the next fabric market is coming to Frankfurt, so I can't complain about not having enough fabric to go around. My favourite fabrics are lying here and I fondle them idly with a clear idea in my head what to do with them, but I can't muster the courage to cut them up. The problem is my body. I have been on a weightloss regime for a year now, I have gone from size 32 to a size 18-20, my goal is size 12-14, so I don't really feel like sewing any new clothes for myself, as I would have to take them in soon enough :-(Well, I managed it with this dress, Burda 7547, in the picture at the top, the taking in that is. I made the dress about a year ago in size 32. It is a lovely dress and I adore the fabric, which was a bargain, actually, and it would have been heartbreaking for me to get rid of it without even wearing it once. So I took it in, I sewed the sides narrower, which sounds a lot easier than it really is. I had to unpick a very, very long seam, because it looked odd. Nevertheless, I persevered and thus, an old, new dress has had its first outing.
