“Best IPhone apps” will be the start of a new series on my blog – “What is on / What is in / What do you use…” – and as I often receive emails or people ask me what are in your opinion the “Best Iphone Apps” – I want to start it with immediately.
Since Christmas 2012 I use the new black Iphone5 (thank you so much!) with 32 GB which is a comfortable size for me to work, take pictures and still have tons of music available (using ITunes Match – so I can also download my favorite songs where ever I am and delete them if I need more capacity on my phone)
The wallpapers for the lock screen or home screen always depends on my mood and situation, where I am, what I like – but will change frequently. Currently I use a Oscar-wallpaper for the lock screen and a Asian picture for my home screens. I do not use a special wallpaper app, as I use most times dark backgrounds or edit pictures I shot with my Iphone5.
Let’s go to the apps on the first two pages (total pages most time 6 to 7 pages) and most of them are very common – but here is the list of my “Best Iphone Apps”

- Standard-Apps: Clock, Messages, Photos, Camera, Safari, Settings
- Whats App (for communication with friends all over the world)
- Skype (always have to be ready for my international phone calls)…
- Tweetbot (much better Twitter client) and always have to be ready… (my private news channel)
- n-tv (German news TV-station) with a good news-app
- Flipboard (combining all my favorite news channels, once setup – incl. RSS-feeds, Magazines, Twitter and Instagram)
- Weather-pro (all your favorite locations frequently updates incl. weather map, radar, etc.)
- Passbook (all favorite cards on one place – I use it for SPG, Lufthansa, Vapiano, Starbucks, United, CVS)
- Starwood / SPG (my favorite hotel brand, all hotel reservations, booking, driving directions, etc.)
- Check my trip (summary for all my flights and reservations – always have all arrival and departure times on one spot)
- Google Maps (currently the better map service)
- Page 2 “Best Iphone Apps” - (Blogging Apps and timely limited needed apps):
- Standard Apps: Instagram, Foursquare, Facebook (private Account), Tumblr, Flickr, PInterest, Notes, Music
- Facebook Pages (for access to my regular facebook page - feel free to connect also with the private profile)
- WordPress (to access my blog, where ever I am, to enable comments, etc.)
- Pages (also use it on IPhone and MacBook – to start writing ideas for my blog or postings and continue on laptop or Ipad)
- Pocket (“read it later” – for all the interesting information I cannot read in that moment – I will save these pages for later)
- Bloglovin (to follow my favorite blogs – more about “Why bloglovin” can also be found here
- Vine (currently testing the new Twitter add-on with small video-clips of 6 seconds – first steps were funny in Bangkok)
- 1Password (Logins and access codes or customer loyalty cards, pin-codes for sim cards outside my Vodafone-net, etc.)
- Folder “Blogging Apps” all the apps I might use for blogging or simply want to try it out, when I have more time
- Folder “Photoediting” – containing IPhoto and other photo apps for editing pictures on the go
- Find friends (to be connected with closest friends around the world and check where we can meet each other…)
- ITB2013 (temporary – preparing all my meetings for the International Travel Fair and handling my requests)
- Lufthansa (all my flights and details about gates, etc. on one place – also my Miles&More account data

Ab sofort gibt es eine neue Serie auf meinem Blog “Was ist in… / Was ist auf… / Was nutzt du für…”, da ich in letzter Zeit einige Emails und Kontaktanfragen erhalten habe, wo ihr mehr darüber erfahren möchtet. Beginnen möchte ich die neue Serie mit “Best IPhone Apps” – und den Dingen, die immer auf meinem IPhone sind.
Seit Weihnachten 2012 bin ich stolze Besitzerin eines schwarzen IPhone5 (herzlichen Dank) mit 32GB, was für mich eine angenehme Größe zum Arbeiten, für Fotos und noch immer genügend Platz für Musik ist (ich selbst verwende ITunes Match – daher muss ich nicht immer alles Fotos dabeihaben, sondern kann mir diese auch online wieder herunterladen und löschen, je nachdem wo ich gerade unterwegs bin)
Die Hintergründe für meinen Sperrbildschirm und allgemeine Seiten hängen immer von meiner Stimmung ab und was mir gerade gefällt, wo ich bin oder wo ich hinfahre – aber es wird häufiger gewechselt. Im Moment verwende ich ein Oscar Wallpaper (Oscar Verleihung am Sonntag in den USA) und ein dunkles asiatisches Hintergrundbild. Ich verwende keine spezielle Wallpaper-App, sondern wähle meistens dunkle Hintergründe oder nutze Bilder, die ich selbst mit einem IPhone5 fotografiert habe.
Oben findet Ihr alle Apps meiner ersten beiden Seiten noch einmal ausführlich aufgeführt und warum diese bei mir unter “Best IPhone Apps” stehen dürfen… Auf meinem IPhone gibt es meistens 6 bis 7 Seiten – und die meisten Apps dürften Euch bekannt sein…
