Nach diversen, von klassischem Soul, Funk und Blaxploitation inspirierten Alben mit Ghostface Killah, Bilal, DJ Premier, Royce Da 5'9, Soul Of Mischief und vielen anderen, wendet sich der Multiinstrumentalist, Arrangeur und Produzent Adrian Younge nun der analogen Electronic zu. Das Konzeptalbum über die Liebe mit dem Titel The Electronique Void ist ganz im Stil von Kraftwerk gehalten und Adrian Younge hat darauf alle Instrumente selbst eingespielt und dabei ausschließlich auf analoge Musikinstrumente und Geräte zurückgegriffen.
 
The Electronique Void is an electronic project, recorded with the equipment and techniques our electronic forefathers pioneered. This means analog/modular synthesizers recorded tape, no digital recording/processing, no autotune, no shortcuts. The album, narrated by Jack Waterson, explains the concept of love, as seen through the eyes of the woman, the man, and the psychoanalyst.
