D Ich habe ja schon so mehr oder weniger mitgeteilt, dass ich umgezogen bin und zwar nur innerhalb Hamburgs aber in einen ganz anderen Stadtteil, zusammen mit meinem Freund. Für die neue Wohnung war Your Surprise so nett und hat uns einen Print auf Acrylglas bereitgestellt, den ich euch heute vorstellen möchte.Von Acrylglas habe ich schon viel gelesen und habe mir häufiger überlegt mal einen Print darauf anfertigen zu lassen, aber irgendwie hatte ich nie das passende Bild oder den Platz dafür. Insgesamt finde ich das eine sehr interessante Oberfläche für Fotografien ist. Bei Acrylglas handelt es sich übrigens um eine bestimmte Kunststoffplatte, dabei wird hinten das Bild hineingedruckt. Somit ist es schön glänzend beziehungsweise schimmernd, also eben wie Glas, nur nicht ganz so schwer und zerbrechlich.Nun zu Your Surprise, auf den Online Shop bin ich dank Google gestoßen und hatte dann einen sehr netten Kontakt. Genau gepasst hat es, dass mein Freund und ich erst vor kurzem in die größere Wohnung gezogen sind, die weit mehr Raum bietet als die Alte und noch fast komplett undekoriert ist. Nun konnte ich mich endlich mal austoben und das passende Bild hab ich auch gefunden, dieses kennt ihr schon aus dem zweiten Macro Monday. Als Vergleich packe ich auch nochmal das Originalbild hier in den Post. Bestellung und LieferungFür die Bestellung bei Your Surprise muss man keine nervige Software runterladen, was für mich immer ein großer Plus Punkt ist. Alles in allem ging es auch sehr schnell, einfach das Bild hochladen, bei Bedarf anders positionieren und auf Bestellen klicken. Zusätzlich könnte man noch Text hinzufügen und solche Dinge, aber ihr kennt mich: Ich mag es schlicht.Die Lieferung ging richtig schnell, bestellt habe ich das Bild Sonntag abends und es kam dann Mittwoch morgens schon bei mir an. Es war sicher verpackt und eine Halterung zum an die Wand schrauben sowie eine extra Anleitung kriegt man auch gleich mitgeliefert.E I already told you more or less that I moved together with my boyfriend, I now still live in Hamburg but in another part of it. And you are lucky, they also deliver to a lot of other countries, like: the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Austria, Swiss, the UK and the USA.I already read a lot about acrylic glas and I often tough about trying out a print on this material, but I never had the right picture or even the space for it. Overall I think it's an interesting surface for photographies. By the way: Acrylic glas is a specific synthetic plate where they print pictures on the back. So the picture is a little bit shiny like on real glass but not that breakable and heavy.Now let's shift attention to Your Surprise, I found this online shop via Google and had a really friendly contact. It perfectly matched, that they just wrote me back, when I know I will be moving together with my boyfriend in a new flat that is a lot bigger than the old one and nearly not decorated. Now I finally get the long wanted acrylic print and I also found the appropriate picture, that you already know from my second Macro Monday.
Booking and DeliveryTo book the picture at YourSurpise I didn't have to download a silly software, which is always a big advantage in my eyes. Altogether everything was pretty easy and fast, just upload the picture, if required change the position and order it. In addition you could also put text on the print, but you know me: I like things like that plain.The Delivery was really fast, I ordered it on Sunday evening and got the package on Wednesday morning. Don't forget that they also had to print it individually. The print was safely packaged and they also delivered a mounting to hang it on the wall.
D Das Produkt
Ausgesucht habe ich mir einen Print im 60x40 Format, das normal 49,95€ zuzüglich Versandkosten kosten würde. Das Produkt gefällt mir sehr gut: Die Farben sind exakt so abgebildet wie ich sie haben möchte, das Material kommt mir hochwertig vor und das Bild ist wunderbar scharf.
Auf dem Bild hat sich laut Anleitung noch eine Schutzfolie befunden, die ich allerdings nicht abziehen konnte, ich habe schlicht keinen Anfang gefunden, aber nun gut, man sieht auch nicht dass eine drauf ist.
Die mitgelieferte Halterung besteht aus vier silbernen Schrauben, wofür sich im Bild auch schon Löcher befinden und dazu passenden Rückteilen, sowie Dübeln und Schrauben für die Wand. Drei von Vier Schrauben waren kein Problem durch die Löcher des Bildes hineinzudrehen, an der letzten hatte ich aber sehr zu kämpfen sowohl ich als auch mein Freund haben sie einfach nicht hineingedreht bekommen, ich schätze das Loch war zu klein. Nachdem sich mein Freund auch noch daran geschnitten hat, habe ich beschlossen das ganze mit einer Zange zu machen. Da die Schrauben aber nur silber angemalt sind, hat sie das etwas in Mitleidenschaft gezogen und auch das Bild hat an dieser Stelle so seine Kratzer abbekommen. Das fand ich dann etwas ärgerlich, aber letzten Endes sieht man es kaum.
Eigentlich wollte ich es ins Wohnzimmer über das - noch nicht vorhandene - Sofa hängen, allerdings fand ich es dann über dem Küchentisch doch irgendwie passender, da dort die weiße Wand nicht so riesig und erdrückend ist.
Zum Anbringen an der Wand müsste man nach der mitgelieferten Anleitung vier Löcher bohren, da das Bild aber nicht so schwer ist, kam mir das doch recht übertrieben vor. Selbst mein Spiegel, der mindestens doppelt so schwer ist hängt nur an zwei Nägeln. Also habe ich die Halterung etwas umfunktioniert und anstatt zu bohren sie einfach mit Nägeln an der Wand befestigt. Das Bild hängt schön fest und ich spare mir, wenn ich irgendwann aus der Wohnung ausziehe, das Löcher zumachen. Ich schätze, die Halterung sieht genauso aus, wie wenn ich gebohrt hätte. Statt Schrauben verschwinden einfach Nägel in der Halterung.
E The product
I choose a print in 60x40 format, which would normally cost 49,95€ plus costs for the delivery. I really like the product: The colors are really good, like in the original picture, the material is valuable and the picture is really sharp.
At the instruction it's written, that there is also a protective foil on the picture but I couldn't find or remove it, but in the end if I don't see it I doesn't care if there is a foil on the picture.
The included mounting consists of four silver screws, wherefore are already holes in the picture, and suitable back parts, as well as dowels and screws for the wall. Three of four screws were pretty easy to spin through the holes in the picture but the last one was a disaster. Both me and my boyfriend couldn't get it into that hole, I guess the hole was to small. After my boyfriend even cut himself into his hand with the screw we gave up and used a pliers. But the screws were only silver painted so it lost some of it's color through the pliers and the acrylic glass also got some scratches. That was pretty annoying but in the end you doesn't really see it.
First I wanted to hang the picture over our - not existing - coach, but than I thought it would look better over the kitchen table, because the white wall there isn't that big and overwhelming.
To mount the picture on the wall the instruction says that you should drill four holes in to the wall. The picture isn't that heavy and so I thought that's pretty exaggerated, even my mirror that's about two times as heavy hangs on two nails. So we converted the mounting a little but and just hang the picture on some nails, it's solid and I don't have to seal holes when I ever move out of this flat again. I think the mounting looks pretty similar to how it should be, instead of screws there are just nails behind.
D Fazit
Kurz und knackig gesagt: Der Online Shop ist schön übersichtlich, die Bestellung einfach, die Lieferung schnell und das Produkt hochwertig. Mit der Halterung hatte ich so meine Probleme, aber letzten Endes hängt das Bild nun fest und sieht toll aus. Ich würde jeder Zeit wieder bei Your Surprise bestellen, zumal ich in ihrem Online Shop auch noch einige andere interessante Artikel finden konnte.
E Conclusion
To just tell it compact: The online shop is clear, the order was easy, the delivery fast and the product valuable. With the mounting I had my problems, but in the end the picture is now hanging on the wall and looks nice. I think I would always consider to buy stuff at Your Surprise again and I also found a lot of other nice products at the online shop.
